I’m Vanjo Merano we’re going to feature a special dish for today it’s Asian-inspired, as the name says it Asian Beef with Mushroom here are the ingredients for our dish: beef, thinly sliced. This cut is called Sirloin fresh mushroom, sliced snow pea or sitsaro onion minced ginger or luya cooking wine toyo or soy sauce garlic powder corn starch to thicken the sauce we also need beef broth, ground black pepper and cooking oil here’s the complete list of ingredients with measurements. So let’s combine beef and soy sauce I’m using a regular soy sauce. You may also use light soy sauce for less saltiness here goes the garlic powder here goes the cooking wine this is Shaoxing cooking wine. You may also use dry sherry mix well make sure all the ingredients are well distributed marinate the beef at least 10 min. the longer the better so the beef has more time for absorption after marinating, let’s cook it pre heat wok or pan with cooking oil spread oil across the pan cook minced ginger quickly cook it, about 30 sec. then add the marinated beef I drained the marinade. I separated the liquid but it’s still a bit wet we’ll add the marinade later. Let’s cook the beef until outer part is light brown in short, stir fry it’s best in high heat when we stir fry while cooking half way, you’ll notice the liquid coming out. Don’t worry that’s from the beef add the marinade then add beef broth let the liquid simmer continue cooking until liquid evaporates the beef will be more tender after this the liquid has almost evaporated. Let’s prepare the cornstarch the cornstarch will thicken the sauce. Mix it with the beef broth get a spoon. Make sure the ingredients blended well set aside. We’ll add that in the later cooking process let’s continue cooking mix. The liquid has almost evaporated let’s add onion I’m using chopped yellow onion. White onion will also do cook for 1 min. Here goes the onion let the onion soften so cook for 1 min. after that, prepare the mushroom here’s the sliced fresh mushroom you can use white mushroom, cremini mushroom, or button mushroom. Whatever is available in your location mix and continue cooking for 2 min. add snow pea stir fry with the rest of the ingredients in the wok after 1 min. season it with ground black pepper, it’s up to you how much you want to add white ground pepper will also do in contrary with a regular stir fry, I want this to be saucy so I’ll add more beef broth here goes the beef broth to make it saucy then let the mixture simmer add the cornstarch mixture it’ll become thick as we cook see? It’s getting thicker it’s good to top this on rice. It’ll be awesome it’s ready transfer to a serving dish and serve Here’s our Asian Beef with Mushroom I’m going to try this beef plus mushroom I’ll take 2 pcs. of beef mmm~ wow!
