My son was put on a keto diet at 1 for seizures until he was 7 but was supposed to come off at 5… unfortunately he was on a formula since he had a g-tube so I never got to learn the real diet… but he had no seizures at all the whole 6 years … within a year on a high protein but still sugar formula he started having seizures… they said he could not stay on … but he he is now 20 and had horrible seizures and I feed him blended food … I find that ironic that he had no seizures at all not only that but he never had secretions either that had to be suction… so I just found out I have fatty liver … I think me and him are going on Keto together..my problem is I’m big he is super skinny can you gain weight from keto?

Had a question Dr. Berry. What are your thoughts on table salt? I think table salt is bad too because there is no nutritional value in it due to bleaching. Plus previous labels of tablet salt had dextrose in it. Believe or not.

I’m taking the plunge. I’ve weaned most sugar this week, only grass fed butter and no grains. I have a little bit of a headache and back pain the last 2 days but it is getting better. I thank God I’m hard headed therefore I will continue. (I’m thinking of all the carbs and sugar like a bossy husband and it helps me fight the cravings! haha). Thank you Dr. Berry.

Hey, due to how cheap they are, all those bad oils are great for starting bonfires. Pour a bottle of it over some flammable materials like wood and a little on some cardboard. Light the cardboard and put it under some wood that's soaked in the oil and it will light right up usually.
Dr BerryI have hypothyroidism, hashimotos also in my late 40s. I have always been active and started exercising in my teens. Over the last 4 yrs I have found I am unable to lose weight. Infact in the last yr I have put on a whole stone. I try to eat healthy but because I cook and buy for rest of the so called family (whom I get nothing but stress from) I end up eating biscuits and wheat products. I hate how ill I feeel and I hate the weight I have put on. Could you please advise me what to do?

I'm starting Keto today, thanks to your videos. I have watched a lot of the "Guru's ", but they over complicate the process. You make it simple. Thank you for that. I have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. On to many medications, I hate it. Ive tried the big Pharma route. Csnt wait to see the look on the pill pushing doctors face when I tell her I'm trying something differant. Either she will help on the journey or I'll find one who will.

If people ate things that you said not to eat in limited moderation aka once in a blue moon, then it wouldn't be a problem. The problem is most people can't moderate themselves and that's where the problem lies and this is why soo many people develop diabetes, high cholesterol, kidney disease etc..

Over the summer my wife was eating keto, so I started playing with it. Bacon and eggs for breakfast, little Debbie treats and french fries at lunch. Then I got my bloodwork back: pre diabetes. I stopped playing and got serious that day. Been keto ever since, and I think part of my success is that I took it slow and played around with it to start, so when it was time to get serious, it was quite easy.
So…….no fruit? And if so, is it temporary or permanent? Hard to believe if you could never eat fruit again. 🤷♀️
Get rid of WHEAT!, SUGAR!, CORN!, OATS!, RICE! I've been trying for years to do this by following the Diet by Blood Type. All the foods I find are cross pollinated with all these ingredients!What's left? only thing i worry about is my metabolism is already through the roof, i eat everything and anything i want and loads of it, but am built and have a 6 pack, i do have a very physical job as a mechanic and physical hobbies so im not sure i need to burn more fat and raise my metabolism, i would like to stop the sugar crashes and help my joints but thats about it, seems i could just lower carbs and not actually go into ketosis, take some joint supplements and i would be good or is that all just besides the point?
I'm not at all overweight but if the keto diet gets rid of inflammation, I'm all in!!

Wait a second; maybe our ancestors of 100K years ago didn't eat grains, but humans have been eating them for at least 5K years, and evolution contrary to popular myth is not necessarily a slow process, evolutionary adaptation can occur in just a few generations. Is there any proof that we are not adapted to eat grains?
Also, just taking a walk along my local canal, I see wheat and barley and other edible grasses growing wild, and it occurs to me that even a caveman would have simply reached out his hands and stripped off handfuls of seeds and maybe crushed them with a stone into a simple flour. Modern fruits are obviously unusually large and sweet, but what about berries? In the UK berries grow everywhere during Summer and Autumn and I cannot imagine that our caveman ancestors would not have gorged themselves on berries, and also nuts later in the year.

I got 2 words to say you're crazy diabetics have to have some kind of sugar when they get dizzy. If you're blood sugar is completely low you can die. If Jack lalanne was alive today he would never say throw out every food in your house his last words was to eat less.

I have lost 30 lbs since July. I hit a plateau 2 months ago and the scale would not budge. I am a vegan so I was drinking alot of coconut milk. I believe I was drinking too much coconut milk. It is high in calories if you drink too much. I was also using a protein powder and adding a teaspoon of nut butter sometimes to my smoothie. I lost no weight at all. I have even gained a little weight back and forth fluctuating up and down on scale. I am measuring the coconut milk now and finally noticing a few pounds drop off. I quit using that particular protein powder for now. I am using flax seed meal and using spiralena powder in my smoothies now. As soon as I added a cup of cantaloupe to my smoothie I started to lose weight. They say no fruit other than berries on keto so I substituted cantaloupe because I am deathly allergic to berries. Why is it when I have added in fruit that I am losing weight now? I went out to eat when my cousin was in town and I ate an unketo vegan dinner. Veggie fajitas with flour tortillas. I lost 2 lbs. Why is it everytime I go off keto I lose weight?

Wheat is cultivated in ancient biblical time. It was part of their diet. Same as corn. They became enemies to us when we interfere with their productions.

hi dr Berry: I'm new to your videos and consider trying the Keto diet. My husband is concerned that it may be not be a diet one can stay on for a long time. I do enjoy your videos very much. I have high bp. and take livalvo( sorry if misspelled) for high cholesterol. recently out of nowhere I have bursitis of my left hip which leaves me in pain, so I'm on naproxen. I'm prediabetic. tho my sugar levels have come down . I'm not as careful as I should be. but after watching your video on type two diabetes. I promise to be much more careful. thank you for the urgency in that video. it woke me up again. also the one on triglycerides was a eye opener too. but was glad to hear about not worrying about cholesterol in its self. the magnesium one was very helpful too. I have congenital hypothyroidism. almost died as an infant. I was on the armour throid med growing up till about my teeens then was placed on the synthetic stuff. is it too late to go back to the real thyroid medicine. I'm almost 57 yrs old. could it make a real difference. sorry so long of an introduction. ps is there desserts one can have on a keto diet.?

meat, eggs, cheese a few seeds and nuts and green veg twice a day at around 1000 calories per meal from 1-7 and you will be fit and the pain goes away.that’s my version of dr berrys plan

Thank you again, my go to doctor. I am 72, have been on IMF since June and Carnivore (mostly) since September. I have lost 23 pounds and am feeling fine. No sugar. No oats, corn, wheat, etc. No gluten in any forms. No bad oils. I do 20:4 IMF every day, my eating window from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. I weighed 112 this a.m. and am off all Rx crap. I take electrolytes, vitamin D3/K2, and vitamin C. I do not get colds. I do have some lingering aches but am hoping as I continue all that will cease. When I transition to beef and lo carb veg/fruit in a month or so, I will go slowly with small amounts.

I need to get back on track. My family has been semi- supportive. My mom and I share a house, it's been so hard to stick with this because she and my kids refuse to give up all of the unhealthy garbage and I'm slipping back into my old eating habits. I've also gained back 15lbs, I'm starting to feel defeated, a little bit angry and resentful. I need a different strategy and change my way of thinking.
Been doing keto for 11 weeks. 227 to 193 in less than 3 months. All elevated numbers have dropped to normal range. This stuff works folks. If I can do it you can do it.

I was wondering about casein in cheese. My daughter was told she had allergies to this. And we have autoimmune problems and i sometimes have reactions to cheese. Is it the casein and what exactly is this?

I was taking blackstrap molasses for my iron deficiency. I suppose I could still take it since I'm not fully transitioned yet, there's only a bit left anyway.
I have lots of canola, soybean, crisco, corn, safflower, and all those horrible oils. However, I don't eat them. I make soaps out of them and they at least, make some very fine soaps.
What about wild rice… minoomin? Im nearly pure keto..ive lost 30 lbs and want to lose 20 more. But i have ben eating wikd rice as its always been part of my cultures diet and its nothing like regular rice. Your thoughts?
